Text: Acts 17:24-30
Memory Verse: Colossians 2:14
Blotting out the hand writing of ordinance that was against us which was contrary to us and took it out of the way nailing it to the cross.
INTRODUCTION
Jesus Christ had made us now to live, move and have our lives in him. Therefore, we should know our rights in him and exercise them appropriately.
DISCUSSION
What have we become in Him?
Are Chosen as His Vessel: Jesus had chosen us to become his vessels of honor for service in his kingdom. (John 15:16; 2 Timothy 1:19-21)
Partakers of God’s Promise: Jesus Christ had made us especially the Gentiles to be partakers of God’s promises to the Israelites. This is because Jesus Christ had made a new testament for us. (Hebrews 9:16-17)
Adopted Children of God: Jesus Christ had made us by his death to be adopted as children of God like Jesus Christ himself. We enjoy the right and privilege as Jesus Christ. (Romans 8:15-16)
Become Citizens of Heaven: Jesus Christ’s death had made us to become heavenly citizen on earth. Formally, we were strangers. (Ephesians 2:12; 2:19)
REVIEW QUESTION
How do we access what Jesus Christ had done for us? (Romans 10:9-10)
CONCLUSION
We should manifest all that we have become in Christ.
