What Jesus Christ Had Done (What I Have Become 1)

Text: Acts 17:24-30

Memory Verse: Galatians 3:13

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us for it is written, curse is every one that hanged on a tree.

INTRODUCTION

By his death, Jesus Christ had done all things for us. So, it is important we know what we have become of Christ.

DISCUSSION

What are we in Christ?

Redeemed By His Blood: Jesus Christ had redeemed us by his blood. We have been saved from the bondage of sin and death of the devil. (Revelation 5:9)

Set Free from Condemnation: Jesus Christ had set us free from condemnation of sin in our flesh. We will no longer fell guilty because of sin in the flesh. (Romans 8:1-3)

Set Free From Satan’s Control: Jesus Christ had set us free from the control of Satan. We are no longer slaves to sin but slaves to righteousness. It means sin no longer rule us but we have more dominion over sin in Christ. (Colossians 1:13; Romans 6:9-13)

Sanctified By Christ: Jesus Christ had sanctified us from our sinful nature. We can now be seen by God as being holy and pure to come before his presence. (Revelation 1:5)

CONCLUSION

Jesus Christ had made us new creatures. Therefore, we should know who we have become in Christ.
