What Can I Do in Christ? (Victory Over the Devil)

Text: Luke 10:17-20

Memory Verse: Matthew 10:1

And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of diseases.

INTRODUCTION

As believers, we can put Satan and his agents under our feet as Jesus Christ had given that authority. We can command Satan and his agent to stop their evil activities against us and humanity.

DISCUSSION

How do we exercise our authority over Satan and his agents?

To Cast Out Devils: We can cast out devils away from us because of the power Jesus Christ had given to us. (Matthew 10:8)

Bind and Loose Satanic Activities: Jesus Christ had given believers the power to bind and loose the evil activities against believers and humanity both heaven and on earth. (Matthew 16:18-19)

To Heal the Sick: Jesus Christ had given power to pray and to heal the sick. This is because sickness is the manifestation of the activities of the devil against human beings. (Matthew 10:8; James 5:13-15)

Defeat the Enemy: Jesus Christ by his blood had given us power to overcome our enemy, Satan. We cannot do these things if we are not in Christ. (Revelation 12:11)
