Text: John 14:21-25

Memory Verse: Ecclesiastes 12:13

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter, fear God and keep his commandment for this is the whole duty of man.

INTRODUCTION

We can do all things through Christ by keeping his commandment. This is because we walk with God in fellowship; we must obey his commandment in order to receive his blessings. (Deuteronomy 28:1-2)

DISCUSSION

What are some of the commandment we can do in Christ?

To Love: We are given the commandment to love God, ourselves and others. Unconditionally, other includes loving even our enemies. To love is not easy, but we must love, (Mark 12:30-31; John 13:34-35; Matthew 5:44)

To Forgive: Forgiving those who hurt us without the need to retaliate or revenge is a commandment God has giving to us to obey. We are to forgive just as God has forgiven us. (Luke 17:3-4; Colossians 3:13)

To Give: Jesus Christ given us the ability to give to God and ourselves offerings and tithes. We can give to others who are poor, in need; we can give through Christ who had given us the grace to give. (Deuteronomy 16:17; Romans 12:6-8; Luke 6:38)
