The Power in the Name of Jesus (Jesus, the Authority Over Demons)

Text: Mark 1:21-26

INTRODUCTION

The song writer, Steve Crown said, demons trembled at his presence, what a Mighty God we serve. The name of Jesus is spirit and truth over any situation that has been disappointed. (Mark 10:46-52)

DISCUSSION

Demons Tremble at His Presence: The demons and unclean evil spirits knew him and always cry out at his presence. The presence of Jesus Christ makes demons and evil spirits uncomfortable. (Mark 5:6-8)

Jesus Healed the Sick: Jesus the Almighty Healer, the doctor without injection and drugs heals all manner of sicknesses; he had never referred medical cases to any specialist. He is all powerful. (John 5:5-8)

Jesus Gives Life: Jesus came so that he might destroy the works of the devil and give us life. Satan the thief only came to steal, kill and destroy but Jesus came to give us life in abundance. (John 10:10)

CONCLUSION

How sweet is the name of Jesus in a believer’s ears. It drives his sorrows and heals his wound. Jesus is our all-powerful Lord. The only name given among men, whereby we shall be saved. (Acts 4:12)
