Text: Hebrews 5:11-14
Memory Verse: Isaiah 28:9
Whom shall he teach knowledge and whom shall he make to understand doctrine them that are weaned from the milk and drawn from the breast.
INTRODUCTION
The heart of the believer should be furnished with accurate and precise knowledge of the word of God to be able to assume responsibility in kingdom service. (Daniel 11:32; Ephesians 4:11-15; Luke 2:52)
DISCUSSION
What are the responsibilities that come along to acquire spiritual knowledge?
Teaching And Preaching: Assuming the responsibility of teaching and preaching is an indication that you have attained some level of spiritual maturity. As you teach the new or young believers, you are equipping and preparing them for kingdom service. (2 Timothy 2:15; 2:2; Hebrews 5:12)
Prevailing Prayers: prayer becomes the priority of mature Christian. At this point you have shifted from prayers for self alone to meeting the prayer need of others, interceding for others in prayer is a sign that you are more concerned in meeting others need rather than yours. It is only the mature in faith that engage in such prayers. (Genesis18:16-33; Ephesians 6:18; Exodus 32:9-14)
Be Able To Disciple Others: The church today is in need of shepherds and workforce who understand the true call of Christianity. The church is looking for those who should be able to disciple and nurture them. This is to enable them have a better knowledge about the things of God (Mark. 3:14; Matthew 3:8, 2 Timothy 2:2)

CONCLUSION
Giving your time, finance, talent, energy for kingdom service and meeting the needs of others is a sign of spiritual maturity. (Philippians 2:12-16; 2 Timothy 3:1)
