Setting the Boundaries (Make God Your First Priority)

Text: Daniel 3:8-18

Memory Verse: Matthew 6:33

But seek ye first the kingdom of God and its righteousness and all these shall be added to you. (NKJV)

INTRODUCTION

Giving God priority is to reverence His Word and honor Him at any given opportunity. Many people seek answers from God and they do not get them because they seek things instead of seeking God's kingdom and righteousness. It implies, we should seek God's kingdom first not life partner, children, business, academics and political positions, et cetera.

DISCUSSION

How do we give the first position to God?

Focus on God First: We should focus on God and not our situations or things. (Colossians 3:2)

Be God Dependent: We should acknowledge God always as our main source of everything we need. We should depend on Him by faith in order to receive from Him. (Philemon 4:18-19)

Give God the Glory Always: We should always be thankful and praise God all the time. We should ascribe all glory to God and not to anybody or thing. (Malachi 2:2; Daniel 4:30-31)
