INTRODUCTION
Personal development is growing in knowledge and skills as to be effective in our respective assignment, spiritually, socially and academically. It is needed in parenting, management, administration, et cetera.
DISCUSSION
What are the necessary principles?
Seek God's Plan: You have to pray to ask God to reveal His plan for you. It is only God's plan that can stand in your life. (Jeremiah 29:11, 1:4-5).
Seek a Mentor: It is important that you look for a mentor that will guide and counsel you. This is because you do not have all the knowledge and experience. (Proverbs 11:14-15; Acts 18:24-26).
Focus on God and not Man: You should always be ready to please God and not man. (Colossians 1:10).
Be Consistent in Self Development: You should be deliberate and consistent to personal development; it is this that causes meaningful changes in life. (2 Peter 1:10; Daniel 6:10).
REVIEW QUESTION
What is the advice to Archippus? (Colossians 4:17)
CONCLUSION
the concept of personal development cannot be overlooked as long as growth is a continuous thing in life. This is because the more we grow, the more challenges we encounter and we need more personal development.
