LET IT PROFIT YOU

JOHN 3:1-6

“The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God." (John 3:2 KJV)

Our text today is about Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews in his days who went to see Jesus and told Him that there were many of his colleagues, associates, friends that had watched, followed the activities of Jesus closely from their corners and were now convinced that HE (Jesus) is of God .

The point is, Nicodemus and his friends knew so many things but concerning matters of the salvation of souls, they knew nothing (John 3:4,9,10). However, what Nicodemus knew made him meet the Lord Jesus and opened another door of priceless opportunities to him. Jesus gently told Nicodemus to let what he knows give him eternal value.

What are you doing with the knowledge you have of God? Don't sleep with your knowledge, don't strangulate your knowledge by refusing to put it into appropriate use. Since you know your body is the temple of God, run away from everything that can defile it and because you know the work JESUS did on the cross, do what Isaiah 60:1 says: Arise and shine forth.
