Text: 2 Timothy 3:16-17
Memory Verse: Psalms 32:8
I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shall go, I will guide thee with more eye.
INTRODUCTION
Instruction given to us by God requires complete obedience . (1 Samuel 15:22-23; Job 36:11)
Obedience to instruction helps you set your priorities might. It is an act of doing and willing to do what one is told. (Isaiah 1:19; Luke 5:5). Through obedience you demonstrate your love for God. (John 14:21).
DISCUSSION
What are the rewards of obedience?
Abounding Joy: We imitate the holiness of Christ which makes us unite ourselves with him. This enables us immersed in His love which makes us to experience overwhelming joy. (Psalms 16: 11; Nehemiah 8:10).
Divine Ability and Strength: There is an inner impartation of strength you experience when depending on God's leading and instructions are allowed (1 Kings 19:7-8; Psalms 84:7; 2 Corinthians 12:9)
Divine Provision: God knows how to meet your needs and give you satisfaction. You enjoy God's provision always when you are obedience tested and proven. (Exodus 23:25; 1 Kings 17:3-4; Isaiah 58:11)

How does obedience to instruction lead to joy? (Psalm 16:11)
CONCLUSION
If you want to fulfil your destiny on earth and in eternity, then pay attention to God's instruction and follow accordingly. (Proverbs 4:13)
