GOD CLOTHES PROPERLY

GENESIS 3:1-21

“Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins and clothed them.” (Genesis 3:21 KJV)

Our text says as soon as Adam and his wife disobeyed God in search of a certain “knowledge”, they saw their nakedness and got fig tree to make for themselves aprons which could scarcely cover them. They felt ashamed and hid themselves from God. The Almighty God however, came to them and clothed them properly.

Don’t try to clothe yourself when you go naked because of disobedience. Your’s can never sufficiently cover you and no one can except God. Adam and his wife went in search of a strange knowledge but even after eating the fruit in disobedience, they never knew that leaves could not cover them properly. They never knew that animal skin could give clothing for proper covering and yet these animals were all around them. That was the first task they performed with their new found knowledge but it failed them.

Beloved, stick to the word of God to obey. There are still many other things you don’t know about this life. The owner of this life, has told you what to do, do it and don’t be quick to despise His Word.

God’s Word is a lamp to the feet and a light to every path. Use it and be safe.
