Text: Daniel 3:9-8
Memory Verse: Job 28:20
And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord that is wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding.
INTRODUCTION
The fear of God is a conscious acknowledgement of the all-powerfulness of God by man. It is reverential and tends towards having a warm relationship between God and man. This fear helps man to avoid acts of wickedness and walk in righteousness and also enjoy the blessings of God.
DISCUSSION
Some benefits of the fear of god:
Safety And Security: The man that fears God enjoys His protection from evil attacks and providence to live move, and have his being. (Job 1:1-7; Psalms 34:9)
Dispels Other Fears: The fear of God makes man have confidence, trust and rely on God against any form of intimidation. (Genesis 26:19-24; Proverbs 28:1)
Builds Healthy Relationship: The fear of God in man helps in engendering warm relationship with others, building trust and peaceful co-existence. (Romans 12:16-18; 1 Peter 3:11)

CONCLUSION
As a believer, the fear of God is our primary responsibility to God and man. (Ecclesiastes 12:13)
