Text: Romans 8:35-39
Memory Verse: Proverbs 18:24
A man who has friends must himself be friendly but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
INTRODUCTION
Everyone wants people by their side that are loyal and faithful. People that can be trusted and depended upon. However, loyalty and faithfulness are scarce. Despite this the calling of God requires us to be faithful and loyal and also committed to people and the church of God.
DISCUSSION
What are the indicators of loyalty and faithfulness?
Faithfulness and Loyal To God: It is true that if you are loyal and faithful to God, you will also be faithful and loyal to people and the church of God. (1 John 4:20; Ruth 1:16)
A Reflection of God’s Character: The culture of loyalty and faithfulness is a reflection of the character of God. God expects to demonstrate these qualities despite our failures and short comings. (Deuteronomy 7:9; Luke 9:62)
Loyalty And Faithfulness Are Proofs of God’s Love For Us: Our love for God dictates and regulate our behavior. It means how we respond to God and treat people around us. (1 John 4:19-21)
REVIEW QUESTION
