Text: Proverbs 4:25-27
Memory Verse: Proverbs 11:3
The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity. (NIV)
INTRODUCTION
The term translated as integrity in the New Testament means honesty and adherence to a pattern of good works. As we had received Christ, we should become like Jesus and walk in his footsteps in a manner that is pleasing to him continuously.
DISCUSSION
How is the culture of integrity developed?
Remember Your Identity in Christ: The Bible describes us as ambassadors of Christ. As His representatives therefore whatever we do rob off on the name we represent. (2 Corinthians 2:20; Colossians 3:17)
Remember Who You Are: We are the children of light. So we walk in the reality of who we have become in Christ. You should know that we are dead in Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:17, 21; Ephesians 1:4-8)
Remember Your New Life: As children of God, our new life is life of honesty and integrity. We have the capacity and the commendation to live according to his high calling. (Colossians 1:13-14; Matthew 5:37)
REVIEW QUESTION
What should we avoid as Christians of integrity? (1 Thessalonians 5:22)
CONCLUSION
The world need to see what is expected of us and we are the examples that God gave to the world.
