PSALM 96:1-13

"I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being." (PSALM 104:33 KJV)

Our text today encourages us to sing unto the Lord our God. Singing is a good sign. It depicts victory, gladness, et cetera. This is a ministry that will endure through eternity. Our song must show forth God's salvation, glory and wonders among all people. We should sing unto the Lord because He is great and feared above all gods, because He made the heavens and for so many more reasons. Singing must be done unto the Lord and not another. Who do you sing to and what is the content of your song? Be careful who you sing about because any singing done to give glory to anything apart from God amounts to idolatry.

Moses sang, David sang, Hannah sang, the children of Israel sang, Paul and Silas sang. You too should sing. Singing can be done anywhere, whenever. In good times and in bad times also. For instance Psalm 149:5 says "Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds" and in Acts 16:25 the bible says, "And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them".

Your sincere praise will give God glory and will be remembered. SING ON!

Have a "SONG-FULL" day.
